STUDENT ANNUAL 71 brings together now a Philadelphia tradition, offers the

inthe Gallery of the College outstanding public an opportunity to view the artistic

student work created during the development of students who will enhance

1970-71 academic year. The exhibition, art and design in the years ahead.

The Philadelphia College of Art offers
four-year accredited degree programs in
11 majors, preparing artists and designers
for careers in business, industry, education
and the fine arts. The cost of this
education increases each year. Tuition
now pays only 66 percent of each
student's education. The College thus is
providing a 34 percent subsidy for each
student and must seek this support from
friends and other sources. Increased
scholarship aid for our students is an area
of special need. This year 365 students
received aid from the College averaging
$918 per student. In many cases, these
awards met only a portion of the student's
actual need. For these reasons, the
Scholarship Fund needs the generous
support of the College's many friends.
This invitation carries with it a request for
your support of our Scholarship Fund.
For your convenience a card and i

envelope are enclosed.
